Through the Eyes of a Boy

I managed to have a look at the Scrapbook Generation magazine that one of the ladies had brought to our UFO Retreat and was inspired to create this layout using some papers from Ruby Rock-It. I had no idea what photo would go on the layout, until I got home & found this Selfie that my 19yo son had taken when he was 12.

He would always pick up any camera that was lying around and take interesting photos.  I never deleted them and, one day, will make a mini album out of his snaps.

Excuse my lack of photographic prowess, I snapped this one with my mobile on the table at the 12 Hour Crop yesterday.  I wanted to share it because I always hear that scrappers have trouble creating "boy layouts". (I will post some retreat photos soon too.)

February 12 Hour Crop (2014)

After almost two months of not getting together, it was great to start the year off with the first 12 Hour Crop for 2014 on 8th February. Once again, the regulars made the new ladies feel welcome on the day.

I am a little bit sneaky when it comes to taking a photo or two while everyone's busy, so here is the photo of the day.

I wanted to make a birthday card for my Mum but was having trouble coming up with an idea.  So into my Pinterest boards I went and came up with this Cardmap (click HERE)

With a little bit of help from my Teresa Collins' Carolina Breeze 6x6 paper pad, some black cardstock, gold paper, and a bit of black bling, this is what eventuated.

I am happy to report that Mum loved it!

October 12 Hour Crop (2013)

The October 12 Hour Crop was held at DJ Cunningham Hall,
with 20 excited and crafty ladies in attendance.
The mix of crafts was fantastic, with traditional scrapbooking,
project lifers, card makers, mixed media, art journalling, zentangling,
and ATC making going on throughout the day.

It's always lovely to welcome new ladies to Crop Day.

Yes, Miss June, did win another prize in the lucky draw!
(She doesn't win any raffles!)

Welcome

I guess I've put this off for long enough and now it's time to launch All About Scrapbooking's Blog.

Thank you to a couple of special friends who have helped me get this blog off the ground, by showing me how to create it and encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. Just goes to show, you're never too old to learn something!  I'm very grateful for your help every day.
